Welcome to the human production website! human is a sci-fi/zombie short film, written and directed by Martin Wikner.

The film was shot in the cities of Lund and Malmö in Southern Sweden in November 2011, and is currently in post-production. It will be finished around Spring 2012. On this site you will find updates and news regarding the project!

Hello dear fans!

We have been really bad at updating the website, so apologies for that! These last couple of months, we have been editing the film, and it’s all starting to come together…! Soon we’ll start dealing with the visual effects!

At the moment we’re also working on the human poster design! We’re collaborating with the very talented designer Yauca Lopez, check out her website to see her porfolio!

Post-Production Commences!

Yesterday we had our first official production meeting since shooting ended on November 20th. We drew up preliminary plans for the post-production, and also started planning the distribution and premiere screening. We still have a long way ahead of us, but time really flies!

Later this week, there will be a meeting planning the post-production in more detail; we’ll keep you posted!

It’s a Wrap!

Yesterday was our final day of shooting! This past weekend was spent in a residential garage outside Lund, shooting car scenes! The big challenge was to make it look like the car really was out in the street. To accomplish this, we draped the set with white cloth and also made use of a smoke machine.

It’s been a total of seven intense and fun days, and we would like to send a big THANKS to our amazing cast, crew, extras, and everyone who’s supported and helped us! All of this has been made possible only because of you!

Greenscreens & Chromattes

Last weekend was our second weekend of shooting! We were at a school in Central Malmö shooting greenscreen sequences, using both a regular greenscreen and a Chromatte rig. Some of us have worked with greenscreen before, but to some it was a new experience!

Overall, things went really well! We had a large number of extras, who all did a great job!
